A 61 year old lady from Scottsdale, Arizona is shown before and after lower body lift surgery and breast lift. She lost slightly over 100 pounds with diet and exercise. Her weight was stable for 1 year when she requested plastic surgery after major weight loss. Her highest recorded body mass index was 43. At the time of surgery, her body mass index was 23.4. She was not happy with the excess skin around her waistline, the saggy buttock and outer thighs. She also wanted a breast lift and breast implants. She mentioned that after weight loss, she developed loose skin and a flabbiness. She wanted a lower body lift to improve her central figure and a breast lift for the breasts. We decided on lower bodylift with buttock augmentation and mastopexy. Before surgery, she is 5 feet 0 inches and weighed 120 pounds. A special medical clearance because of her severe scoliosis was required. During surgery, the tissue removed weighed 2216 grams. The total weight of this specimen is 4.9 pounds. Not all the tissue from her lower back was removed because some of it was used to make the buttock bigger. She spent 2 nights after surgery at a plastic surgery specialty hospital. Her before and after photos show her at 3 months after lower bodylift, buttock augmentation, and breast lift.
