THE BROW LIFT PROCEDURE

During a brow lift surgery, our Arizona plastic surgeon, Dr. Scott Ogley, will create three to five small incisions strategically hidden behind your hairline, which will be unnoticeable once healed. We usually perform brow lift surgeries using an endoscope–a small device used to examine a specific area inside the body.

We will gently place the endoscope through the incisions, which gives a clear visual beneath the skin without needing to create larger incisions. After this, we will elevate the skin and muscle of the forehead to remove excess or sagging skin. The result is a smooth brow area and eyes that look brighter and years younger.

ENDOSCOPIC BROW LIFT

The endoscopic lift is the preferred method of many plastic surgeons, as it requires minuscule, minimally invasive incisions. An endoscope’s tubular camera provides a high level of accuracy and precision, allowing your doctor to avoid the nerves near your eyebrows during surgery. Your results will be natural, seamless, and permanent. Moreover, the recovery time is only about one week.

TEMPORAL BROW LIFT

The temporal lift, also called a lateral brow lift, addresses a smaller region of the brow, reducing downtime and significant scarring. This technique is recommended for patients who are just beginning to show signs of aging in the forehead. We often combine a temporal brow lift with eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) to brighten the facial expression and soften the smile of our patients.

CORONAL BROW LIFT

This long-established technique is sometimes referred to as an open brow lift. The incision stretches from ear to ear, crossing the scalp. This approach is beneficial for clients with shorter foreheads who want to raise their hairline.

NON-SURGICAL BROW LIFT

If you are looking for a non-invasive alternative to a surgical brow lift, neuromodulators such as Dysport and BOTOX can elevate your brows temporarily. Our aesthetician will inject the product into your orbicularis oculi muscles (responsible for developing crow’s feet) and the procerus and corrugator muscles (responsible for causing fine lines in the forehead). BROW LIFT RECOVERY

After completing your brow lift procedure, we will carefully bandage the area to promote healing. Most patients don’t experience too much swelling or bruising with a brow lift. However, you may experience some temporary numbness in your forehead and scalp for several months following the procedure, which will dissipate over time.

WILL MY BROW LIFT RESULTS LOOK NATURAL?

WILL THERE BE SCARS?

As with most surgical procedures, scarring will fade over time. Post-operative scars will also be minimal, as the incisions are small and hidden within your hairline. They should not be visible unless you look at them closely in front of a mirror.

IS BROW LIFT SURGERY PAINFUL?
